What exactly is SBI and how much does it cost?

Can you tell me if you are still happy with them/it (I can't really tell if SBI is a product or a service, or software, or what), and how much it costs you?

Sassy Sez: SBI (Site Build It!) is basically a website-building system. So you pay $299* and they give you EVERYTHING you need to create a website.

The first thing SBI does is walk you through the steps of researching a niche to be sure you have all your ducks in a row before you do anything else - this is basically organizing the structure of the site, the content you will be providing, and whether or not your niche has potential to make good moula.

This, to me, was the most difficult part because you just want to get started (!), but these steps are just too important to the life of your site to skip. This can take anywhere from a week to a month or more! You just can't rush it.

Then when you have all the information gathered, you start setting the site up. For instance, one of the first things you will do is go through the MANY templates they have to choose the Look & Feel of your site. Later you can customize as you wish -- my site used to have a completely different SBI-provided logo, and then I hired someone to create my new logo.

Then you start to build the pages of your site, which is a very simple process: Basically, you just push a button to create a page, and it brings you to another page with blanks that you fill in - so they tutor you every step of the way. It's SO simple to use, I can't even tell you.

And all of these tools free you up to do the most important task, which is writing.

Basically, everything you see on my site was created using SBI's tools, including the Q&A forms, the polls, the ezine/newsletter, everything with one exception: my blog. Update: I just hired someone (hi AJ!) to create a new "look" for my site.
