Vegan weight loss questions

Hi Sassy! I just found your website and I am very interested in purchasing your Get Down course. I wanted to know if the discussion board also includes questions I can ask you personally, or if it is mainly for others in the program?

I am a 32 year old omnivore, but I am quite vegan friendly as my hubster has been vegan for a long time. I love the challenge of making him awesome meals and have a few books on the shelf when I really want to be creative, but most of them require a long time of prep. Plus, we both like pasta so much we always default on that. We're definitely in a diet rut, and I am finding as I get older I am getting bigger. I want to lose ten to fifteen pounds and feel great while doing it.

One other concern is that I exercise like a freak - I skate roller derby and we practice a LOT. I want to make sure that this would be a proper route to go as I want to have enough energy to knock people around, haha.

Sassy Sez: Hi Heather! Great to hear from you and thanks for your interest in my vegan weight loss course.

When I first created the course, I asked that all questions from the students be emailed to me. Then I quickly became inundated, and it was taking huge amounts of my time. So I had a choice: either raise the cost of the course, or figure out a way to help everyone while keeping the cost down for everyone.

So I opened a private forum so those taking the course would have access to these fantastic questions and answers at any time.

Today, the forums are filled with helpful questions, answers, conversations, advice, and tips, which have been shared by current and past students over the years. It's a wonderfully helpful tool available to those taking the course, as well as those who have finished the course.

Because this is a private forum and only students have access to it, it is the first place I recommend you go to ask a question. 9 times out of 10 others have the same question so we all learn from each other in this way. I am very hands-on, and am always there to assist.

But sometimes a student doesn't want to chat it up in the forums and instead is looking for more one-on-one assistance. In this case, I would recommend you set up a coaching call where I can spend more time one-on-one with you. I offer a discount on personalized coaching to those taking the course.

As to your second question, whether or not the course will provide you with the foods/fuel you need to keep up your energy as you skate, it's important for you to know that I don't give menus out for you to follow because I don't feel this is a the best way to learn; what happens when the course is done? You would be lost.

Instead, I offer the tools and the guidance as you learn WHY you should each WHICH foods, and then you create your own vegan menus using the foods you love. This way, when the course is done, you have the knowledge you need to continue on your own. And along with that goes the understanding of which foods you need to eat to maintain the energy levels you need for optimum, healthy weight loss.

I LOVE that you skate roller derby. My friend does as well and asked me to join - I admit I was tempted because it is such fantastic exercise and such fun to watch. Alas, with a name like "Sasster the Walking Disaster", I figure I'd best steer clear. ;)
