Steamed Kale

I make a batch of steamed kale when I'm in the mood for kale but also in a bit of a rush because it's just so easy to make.

Kale has a very strong flavor, so be sure to mix it with equally strong ingredients.

You'll likely find making steamed kale is one of the easiest ways of preparing this nutritional powerhouse.

You can choose to use the stalks or not. If using the stalks, remove from the chard and cut into 1-2" pieces. Cook the stalks first for about 5 minutes. Add the leaves and continue cooking until they're tender and brightly colored, 5-10 minutes.

This is one of my favorite ways to enjoy kale. You can eat it as is, or add it to one of your favorite dishes.

Use the Kale "Vegan Flavor Matches" to create your very own recipe.
