Steamed Corn On The Cob

Steamed corn on the cob is one of my most favorite ways of preparing corn. The taste of the veggie truly takes center stage without being washed out by flavors imparted when cooking with other techniques.

And it really doesn't get much simpler than making steamed corn on the cob.

Completely remove husks and silk from your corn. (You can discover how to do this on the Corn main page in the How To Prep Corn on the Cob section.)

Break ears of corn in thirds using either your hands (with a strong grip!) or a sharp knife. Be sure to remove any husks which stick out from the end of the ear because you want these sections as small as possible.

Place the ears of corn in your favorite steamer vertically. Cover with lid and steam for 10-15 minutes, or until tender to your personal tastes.

Dress your steamed corn on the cob with your favorite spreads, herbs and spices from the Corn "Vegan Flavor Matches".
