Steamed Cauliflower

Perhaps my most favorite way of preparing cauliflower is by making steamed cauliflower. It retains most of its nutrients when prepared in this way. And with zero added fat and the ease of if all, it just might become your favorite cauliflower cooking technique also.

Before cooking your cauliflower, you can chop it large or small. This will result in your cauliflower cooking up quickly with very little loss of nutrients. The bigger the florets, the longer the cooking time. Expect your cauliflower to cook up in anywhere from 5-13 minutes, depending on the size.

You can even leave the entire head whole and intact. But cooking it in this way will take a very long time for it to be fork tender (up to 20 minutes or more)! Talk about a loss of nutrients - gasp!

Now that your cauliflower is ready, use the Cauliflower "Vegan Flavor Matches" to whip up your very own recipe, including a new sauce or topping.
