Steamed Brussels Sprouts

Nearly every single time I eat them, I make steamed Brussels sprouts. Why? Maybe because it's so easy -- just start them steaming and forget about them until the timer goes off.

You can also use this technique before baking your Brussels sprouts to make them more tender so they'll bake in a reasonable amount of time.

Before cooking, first cut the heads of your Brussels sprouts in half. Lay the heads cut-side down in the steamer bowl or basket, layering as needed. Cook for 5-10 minutes, or until desired tenderness is reached. Test with the tip of a sharp knife for doneness.
