Soaking beans and pressure cooking?

by Caroline

Hi Sassy!

I'm sure that this falls into the "stupid question" category but if we use a pressure cooker, we should still pre-soak the beans . . . right?

Blessings,
Caroline

Sassy Sez: Hi Caroline!

Not a stupid question at all! Yes, you should pre-soak the beans.

The advantage to using a pressure cooker is that your beans will cook much faster, but the soaking rules apply no matter which cooking method you use. :O)

Hugs!
Sassy

"Just wanted to tell you that I finally got brave enough to try the cooker—lol! I cooked split pea soup and it was outstanding! It only took 6 minutes to cook once I had my veggies chopped that went in it. I am sold on the cooker!"
