Pressure Cooker Question - Aluminum or Teflon?
by Linda

PLEASE let me know about your pressure cooker product; does it have any aluminum or Teflon?
Years ago I bought one and realized it was aluminum and threw it out!!!
THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL WEBSITE!!!
*****Sassy Sez: Hi Linda!
You ask a great question about the
Magefesa pressue cookers I sell on my site.
I am with you! I stay away from aluminum as much as possible. I even put waxed paper or parchment paper between my food and aluminum foil. So I hear you loud and clear.
The best way to ensure NO HOT SPOTS in a pressure cooker is with a base made of aluminum.
That said, while Magefesa cookers have a base with aluminum (and nickel and chrome too), it's all sandwiched between 18/10 surgical stainless steel for your protection. Very heavy duty. Yet surprisingly lightweight, considering what they're made of.
Speaking of "18/10 surgical stainless steel", do you know how it differs from regular stainless steel? "18/10 surgical stainless steel" means these cookers are corrosion resistant, heavy duty, and are very easy to clean. In addition, 18/10 surgical stainless steel pressure cookers do not chip, flake or crack, and contains a self-repairing film which makes it reliable for everyday use.
Hope this helps! And please do let me know if you have any further questions. :O)
Hugs!
Sassy
p.s. They do not include ANY Teflon!! xo
