Magefesa Super Rapid II Pressure Cooker
I purchased the Magefesa Rapid ll in 1998 and have never been able to use it. I lost the directions somehow and cant seem to find a manual anywhere. Can you help me?
*****Sassy Sez: Hi Donna! You own one of the most amazing pressure cookers! The Magefesa Super Rapid II has always received very high marks, and it was my first cooker as well. Awwwww!!! :)
How sad that you have been unable to use your fantastic cooker. You are going to love it! I think since you have not used it all of these years, though, you may have to replace the gasket - they get old, dry out, lose their bend-i-ness. So keep in mind you may have to order a replacement gasket.
Fortunately, Magefesa still sells replacement parts for these cookers.
Click here to visit the Super Rapid II replacement parts page of their website.
Now, back to your question about the Super Rapid II manual. I was able to track down a copy thanks to my friends Rosario and Alex over at Magefesa. (They are amazingly helpful, and their customer service is Numero Uno!)
Click here to download a PDF of the Magefesa Super Rapid II Instruction Manual. Please note, before printing you will have to visit the PDF and click "View" and then "Rotate View".
I am so excited for you to begin your pressure cooking adventure. It's never too late to start. Be sure to check out
the video on this page of my husband Jeff making beans in our Super Rapid II. I think you may find it helpful.
And for everyone else out there who does not own a Super Rapid II, Magefesa also makes two other fantastic cookers I recommend,
the Practika Plus and the Mageplus. I have also heard it through the grapevine that they are working on bringing a brand spankin' new version of the Super Rapid II here to the U.S. Fingers crossed!
Happy cooking! xo
