Existing Website - Should I switch to SBI?

I already have an existing website where I sell my services as an integrative healer. Would SBI be profitable for me as I don’t see myself linking to other people’s information, I am providing my services.
Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.
*****Sassy Sez: Hi Barbara,
Great question. And thanks for providing your website link (which was removed to protect your privacy).
I did some snooping around using
Search It!, which is a helpful tool SBI provides as part of your subscription.
Please note: The link above brings you to the public version of Search It!, which only allows for a finite number of searches, and only 1 search every 30 seconds. The private version that comes with your SBI subscription has no limits.
ANYway, here's what I discovered:
- In reviewing the "Popularity" -> "Alexa Traffic Ranking" of your website, you have so little traffic that your site is not even ranking. There are millions of websites out there -- how is anybody going to find you?
- Next I looked at the number of "Back Links" -> "To subdomain from other sites". The number of links coming in to your site is EXTREMELY important (this is something I have learned since starting my SBI adventure) -- if someone finds your site helpful, they link to your site.
So lots of links means that you are providing valuable information to the masses and they want to share it with others.
The average incoming link count of some of the top SBI-built websites is right around 4,000. VeganCoach.com has a little ways to go, but we're doing well with a current count of over 2,300 incoming links. Your site? Just 24 incoming links.
As service sellers (I am one also with my
Vegan Nutrition Coaching service), we can only work with a finite number of people each day, week, or month. This obviously limits your income.
So if you hope to E.X.P.A.N.D. your market to reach a broader base of people and to create additional income streams, then the above 2 points become vital.
For instance, you might work with
Google's Adsense program, a pretty penny each month for absolutely no work whatsoever.
Or you might package your unique knowledge, experience and expertise into
informational products in the form of an ebook or ecourse which share your expertise with those who will find it helpful.
This way you are helping FAR more people than you could ever hope to help in a one-on-one scenario.
Building an
online business is different than having an
online presence. Only you can decide which way you want to go.
Hope this helps. xo
