Do you cook fresh peas in a pressure cooker or just dried peas and beans? This time of year with all the fresh peas out I would love to cook them faster to eat the same night rather than the next day.

Sassy Sez - Hi Nancy! You can absolutely cook fresh peas (and other fresh veggies) in a pressure cooker. You will use the steamer/trivet that comes with the cooker you ordered - the Mageplus. (Practika Plus steamer/trivet is sold separately.)
To answer your specific question, fresh peas will cook at high pressure for 1 minute. So once your cooker reaches high pressure, set the timer for 1 minute. When the timer goes off, remove the cooker from the heat source. Then use the quick-release method to remove the lid so your veggies don't turn to mush.
When using your cooker for the first time to cook fresh veggies, err on the side of undercooked. It's better to have to put the lid back on to allow them to steam in residual heat for a while then to end up with overcooked veggies.
You will learn as you go along and get to know your cooker. xo
"Just wanted to tell you that I finally got brave enough to try the cooker—lol! I cooked split pea soup and it was outstanding! It only took 6 minutes to cook once I had my veggies chopped that went in it. I am sold on the cooker!"
