Best Blender? Vitamix

Sassy is right, the best blender is Vitamix. No other blender rivals the Vitamix. I first heard about the Vitamix from a lady whose son used one. I was thinking about buying a juicer, and she advised to buy this Vitamix appliance instead! I bought the juicer, used it once or twice and put it away. Just too much hassle.

I finally saw the Vitamix demonstrated at a builders trade show in Atlanta. I couldn't get my money out to buy one quick enough! It's been a love affair ever since.

After buying mine, I started noticing them in commercial use. Outback restaurants in my area use Vitamix blenders to make their frozen drinks. I rest my case, Judge!

As you may know, the reason your friend may have recommended a Vitamix instead of a juicer is because the Vitamix makes whole-food juices.

A juicer extracts all the fiber. You are left with the juice which is now devoid of that all-important fiber. Plus, you need a LOT of carrots, for instance, to make carrot juice which can get expensive.

But with a Vitamix, you use just a couple sliced carrots (or apples, etc.), along with some water, ice, and citrus (like lemon) to balance the flavors. You are left with a juice that contains the fiber as well.

I still use my juicer because I do sometimes enjoy juice without fiber; for instance, if I am on a quickie-fast or cleanse, or simply want to flood my body with the concentrated nutrients. But since the Vitamix can do sooooo much more (smoothies, soups, grinding grains into flour, ice cream...), and it lasts for years and years, it really makes sense to have one. xo!
